Thermosolar energy

FRV started its development of thermosolar energy projects in 2007 and plans to begin their construction in 2010.

The basic principle common to all thermal solar systems is simple: the sun’s radiation is captured by mirrors called heliostats and the heat is directed onto pipes carrying a special fluid used to super heat water and create steam. This steam drives large power turbines which in turn generates electricity. These are very large power plants which will substantially add to the solar generating portfolio of FRV.
